A private AI companion that reads your real conversations, remembers what people share, and helps you act on the moments worth keeping.
Android
Install Amicai directly from the Android landing page, follow the sideload trust steps, and keep updates inside the app.
Apple
Start on the web, install Amicai Sync on your Mac for iMessage, and optionally add the iPhone app through TestFlight.
Amicai shows up when you didn't ask, and answers when you do. Same intelligence, two cadences.

Daily Reflections, weekly Pulse, Monthly Review. The observations a thoughtful friend would make if they had the bandwidth — written like one, not like a dashboard.

The chat agent has read every text. It remembers what your sister said three weeks ago, what your friend is going through, and the patterns you keep repeating.
ChatGPT doesn't know your sister. A journal app doesn't know what your friend told you on Tuesday. Amicai reads your real conversations, watches the patterns, and quietly builds a model of how you show up — what people are going through, what you said you'd follow up on, where you keep dropping the ball. That's the part you can't get from a chatbot. That's what makes the second opinion actually useful.
A text Tuesday becomes coffee Friday. Coffee becomes a Sunday walk with someone you almost let drift. Amicai isn't trying to be the relationship — it's trying to start the chain.
Amicai surfaces a song her friend Lindsey shared. She forwards it to three people who came to mind.
One of them — John — replies with a similar artist. They get into a conversation neither would have started cold.
A lunch she and John planned in passing turns into the longest catch-up they've had in years. She journals about it that night.
The cascade happens in your real life, not in the app. The metric we care about isn't time spent here — it's the call you actually made.
We built these rules into the system. They're not guidelines — they're in the code.
Success isn't time spent in the app. It's the call you actually made.
From the founder
Amicai is a Personal Memory for Relationship Intelligence.
It is my attempt to build an application around LLMs that brings us closer together instead of farther apart. A product that uses memory, context, and language not to replace human connection, but to support it.
To help people remember what matters. To understand each other more deeply. To become more thoughtful partners, friends, family members, and collaborators.
— Wylie
Trust is the moat. We treat it that way.
We retain raw messages for 30 days to generate your insights, then automatically purge them. Anthropic, our AI provider, is contractually prohibited from training on your content under their standard API terms.
Their words shape a model of how you show up — not a profile of them. There's no cross-user social graph. There never will be.
Sensitive contacts are excluded from all processing. Amicai purges every trace across 23 internal tables. Real, auditable deletion.

Notes on friendship, technology, and the conversations that build a life.
Close friendships have dropped by half since 1990. 15% of men now have zero close friends. This isn't a personal failure — it's a structural collapse.
Your iMessage history contains patterns about your relationships that you've never seen. Here's what happens when AI reads the metadata of your conversations — not the words, but the rhythms.
A friend said Amicai felt like Salesforce for friendships. He's right to worry — but wrong about what it actually does. Here's the difference between managing relationships and noticing them.
I analyzed 3 months of my texts and discovered I was mediocre at friendship — consistently, across the board. Here's what actually moves the needle.
47% of Americans lost touch with friends this year. The problem isn't that you don't care — it's that friendship has no infrastructure.
Research says people overestimate the awkwardness and underestimate how happy the other person will be. The hard part isn't sending the text — it's knowing who to send it to.
